Canal bridge

In December 2007 the first of several high profile public realm projects was launched. The canal bridge joining the Whitehall development and eventually Wellington Place, with Holbeck Urban Village was completed.
Consultants Allen Tod were appointed in 2005 to carry out a feasibility study for a new bridge spanning the Leeds Liverpool canal, linking Holbeck Urban Village to Whitehall.
The company is tested the costs of construction and maintenance and the ownership of both a fixed bridge and a moving bridge.
The bridge will crosses the canal and will link l to a new crossing over the River Aire that is being developed as part of schemes taking place throughout the urban village.
Crossing from PSL gallery over to the central bank when the otehr bridge is completed the ueban village will start to become more connected tot he city centre and the business district.
