Saturday 8 April 2006 marks the start of a massive consultation exercise on the creative development plans for Holbeck Urban Village, at the southern edge of Leeds city centre, giving the general public an opportunity to shape the future of this former industrial area, now at a crucial point in its development
'What Kind of Place?' is dynamic series of exhibitions and events, taking place in Holbeck Urban Village from 8 to 22 April and features seven new contemporary art installations that reveal some of the stories from Holbeck's rich history.
Leeds City Council and Yorkshire Forward are encouraging the people of Leeds to come forward with ideas and contributions to the designs, plans and aspirations for the public areas of the city's new creative digital media quarter, put forward by leading UK architects and designers.
