The PCSOs (Police Community Support Officers) have set up a new drop-in centre in the Round Foundry Media Centre.

Four PCSOs were employed in April 2005 in response to local studies that highlighted a fear of crime in communities in and around the urban village. The crime figures in reality were shown to be much lower than perceived and indeed lower than the city average for Leeds.

There is now a dedicated PCSO drop-in surgery for any members of the local community to report any unusual events and disturbances or simply looking for advice and information.

Andrew Clay, centre manager for Round Foundry Media Centre is pleased with the new addition to his clients: “It is a pleasure to host them here. We are a large part of this growing community and feel it is important that people know when and where to find the PCSOs as they offer a vital service to the neighbourhood.”

The PCSOs can be found at the Round Foundry Media Centre in the main atrium every Wednesday afternoon from 12 until 2 and no appointment is needed.
