Leeds’ business leaders consider they have much to celebrate in a city that is a leading light of the UK’s digital offer, home to 1,680 digital businesses, and with an industry showing 20 per cent growth in the last decade.
Leeds Digital Week this October will spotlight for the first time, the pioneering achievements and expertise of the city’s digital industrialists/high achievers.
A series of breakfast briefings and speaker events across the week, will explore the role of the digital sector in the current climate, and consider opportunities that exist in the months and years ahead.
Sponsored by Holbeck Urban Village and Leeds Media in association with Marketing Leeds, the week-long initiative culminates in the prestigious, DADI Awards for Digital Industries on 31 October.
Experts offering to share their vision of the digital market include Tony Stanton, from ‘An Agency Called England’. The Director of the nationally acclaimed agency predicts that mobile phone technology is already able to offer businesses and customer unrivalled access to the future of marketing and sales.
Tim Newton, Director of ‘Enjoy Digital’ will consider whether marketing print has become outmoded in the face of web technology; and digital futurologist James Matthewson of DigitalJAM, will predict the emerging trends for 2009 that every business should know about.
