The Mint

Development continues apace in the urban village as Leeds developer Deltalord unveils 'The Mint' at Sweet Street.

Offering 115,000 sq ft of Grade A office space over seven floors, the new development will also include generous underground parking at basement level including secure cycle parking facilities.

The Mint has already achieved a BREEAM energy efficiency rating of 'very good' before the foundation stone has been laid.  Using solar panels to provide energy for a domestic hot water and heating system, the development will live up to the green reputation of the urban village.

Due for completion in Summer 2008, The Mint will also feature a full height glazed entrance hall and atrium which will overlook a fully landscaped public square. Office workers will benefit from an excellent location at the end of the M621 motorway and just five minutes walk from the city centre.

Declan Mulkeen, Director of Deltalord Ltd is looking forward to starting on site: "This has been a very challenging development in meeting the requirements of BREEAM and considering how we might approach energy provision in the future. We are proud to have created a solution to modern energy needs whilst not compromising on the quality of the finished commercial and public space. The Mint will benefit from the growth in the urban village providing a wealth of amenities, and it will be part of one of the most vibrant office quarters in the city."
