Where: Earls Court, London
When: 27th February - 1st March
Holbeck Urban Village is to be showcased at Regenex, the national sustainability conference taking place in London next March. Innovative environmental projects will be highlighted together with development schemes being undertaken by CTP St James and Isis Waterside Regeneration.
Holbeck Urban Village is being regenerated and restored using sustainable construction methods and employing forward thinking and innovative solutions to energy provisions, including a combined heat and power scheme to serve the entire urban village area, some 37.5 acres in total.
We are delighted to be showcasing two of the most innovative development schemes in the urban village at Regenex. CTP St James are currently developing the ‘Green Building’ on the site of one of the world’s first specialist engineering foundries. The ‘Green Building’ will rise alongside the award winning Round Foundry buildings and will include provision for bio-mass generators. The building will be commissioned to reach a BREEAM standard of ‘excellent’.
Holbeck Urban Village will also be showcasing Granary Wharf. This key site will link the urban village to the city centre and open up the waterfront as a key events venue for farmers markets and festivals. The scheme, to be delivered by ISIS Waterside Regeneration, includes a hotel and two residential blocks with 70% of the land allocated for high quality public realm.
ISIS Waterside Regeneration is committed to the highest standards of sustainable development and has identified three sustainability themes against which all of its projects are measured, including; how they will renew communities and tackle the root causes of deprivation; ensuring schemes maximise the value of their waterside location and are appropriate in character and feature a range of renewable technologies.
Never before has there been a sustainable development of this size and scale in the UK.
