Celebrating digital industries in Leeds brought to you by Leeds Media and Holbeck Urban Village in association with Marketing Leeds.

With 25 years of experience in digital media, photography and visual art Pavilion recently opened a new public gallery space in the heart of the Round Foundry’s growing creative community.

Meet the team at Pavilion and find out more about the artists they work with as they introduce ‘Twelve dogs, twelve bitches,’ a compelling series of photographic work by Jo Longhurst.

Over several years Jo Longhurst worked with British Whippet breeders, including several renowned Yorkshire kennels, photographing their dogs by bloodline, exploring their obsessive quest for the perfect dog.

Twelve dogs, twelve bitches is the establishing piece of an extensive body of work, The Refusal, which foregrounds the intimate relationship between human and animal, and the increasing significance of photographic technologies in the development of human identity.

Refreshments served.
