Where: Waterfront along Granary Wharf to PSL gallery
When: 10th October - 7th November 2008
Launching as part of Light Night, four new sonic art works, known collectively as 'Klanging Banging' have been created as part of the ongoing regeneration of Neville Street.
Four new pieces of publicly sited sound art around Neville Street and Holbeck Urban Village invite visitors to re-tune their ears to the city, as imagined by five young Leeds artists.
Launching on 10th October, Klanging Banging is inspired by the proposed sound art installation for Neville Street, due to complete in 2009, and encourages people to experience new elements of their surroundings while they’re on the move around the southern part of the city.
Klanging Banging invites visitors to borrow free headsets, or tune in via an MP3 player or mobile phone while they walk through a world that is familiar, and at the same time different.
Supported by Isis Waterside Regeneration, Arts Council England, KPMG and Lambert Smith Hampton.
