Good, simple, basic materials preferred.	Agreed.
Good quality featured very strongly	Agreed.
Minimise noise from surfaces.	Acoustic studies are being undertaken. More detailed work is been completed regarding controlling noise.
Smooth for pedestrians and cyclists.	Looking for a mix of smooth and sawn surfaces but none will be as rough as say the Calls for example.
Avoid digging up expensive pavings and maintain surfaces.	The pavements and street design is being phased with new developments to avoid putting pavements down then ahving to dig back up. We ahve looked at materials that are in sets so that should they need to be dug up and relaid they will still look in keeping with the rest of the urban village and of high quality.
Make cycleways and pavements clear and protected.	Agreed.
More pedestrian zones a haven for people to escape the busy roads.	The intention to is restrict, slow and calm traffic flowing through the village to minimise the social impact. There are also a number of schemes proposing public squares.
Tree planting - trees on every street.	Noted. This will be done in certain location but not cluttering the urban village and obstructing pedestrian and cycle routes.
Remove traffic signs and find an alternative to yellow lines.	Looking into the legislative requirements but also trying to create a Leeds First zone which reduce the traffic signs.
Make the environment safe and practical rather than cosmetic.	Agreed - these are priorities for us.
Flower beds and seating close by.	Looking at 'planters' and seating.
Improved links and surfaces from Holbecka dn Beeston Hill, let the HUV effect spread into neighbouring communities.	SJS scheme will improve this and planners have already been talking to the community to determine how. £70,000 was spent last year clearing site between the urban village and Holbeck and Beeston and further funds are planned for this year.
Improve bus routes - acomment mainly from the elderly population.	Working with Metro to improve bus links into local community areas. Funding is an issue but proposals are moving forward.
