Brightness Including underside of bridge needs to be improved, a vaulted ceiling under the bridge similar to what is in the Dark Arches would be welcomed.	Highways lighting will be upgraded which will improve the lighting and brightness. Network Rail have also been asked to paint the girders on the unerside.
Wider pavements and cycle lanes wanted.	Discussion is ongoing about the removal of the bus stops. If this can be done, pavements and cycleways could be widened.
Speed cameras to slow traffic would be appreciated.	Evidence for this would need to be researched and a case put to the highways agency. There will, however, be a perceptual shift in the environment which should help to calm the traffic flow.
Lesser priority than the canal bridge.	The partnership board see this as a first priority as this scheme is nearing application stage, however that is not to say that the canal bridge isn't also an importnat factor to the team.
Maintenance of this area is critical.	An area management plan is being drafted and this scheme is given high priority as this is the gateway to the city centre.
Murals could be changed form time to time to make sure it stays fresh.	The lighting behind the panels will be changing all the time.
Need to deal with the pigeons under the bridge.	Deterrents are planned for the particular areas that they seem to like best.
Signpost Leeds key attractions at this gateway.	The scheme itself will do this in the form of arrows pointing the direction to different areas of the city. More signage would lessen the impact but signes will be introduced nearby on exit from the motorway.
