Live Development
Regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, are set to invest £19.8 million breathing new life into one of the urban village’s most iconic developments.
Work is currently taking place on-site to clear away old warehouse space and retain the listed structures within the site including the ornate street facade, engine room, and three Italianate towers.
The first phase of construction on-site will bring new office accommodation to the market providing move-on space for companies in the creative and digital media sector who are experiencing high levels of growth. This will further complement the offer at the neighbouring Round Foundry Media Centre.
The initial phase of development will also include refurbishment of the Engine House providing a bespoke opportunity for a larger commercial office space and a lesiure or retail opportunity facing onto the landscaped courtyards and public space.
Yorkshire Forward will undertake the first phases of development animating the space and opening up new opportunities for furture private-sector investment.
