Temple Works

The brain-child of a gifted entrepreneur, Temple Works is a magnificent, vast Egyptian style warehouse stretching south along Marshall Street.

Currently undergoing repair to the large warehouse space, believed to be the largest room in the world at the time of construction, this historic hidden gem is set to be given a new lease of life as one Leeds’ edgiest cultural venues.

With a programme of avant-garde cultural events currently in planning, the developers behind Temple Works’ transformation and restoration are reaching out to the arts, cultural and creative sector to animate this one-of-a-kind space. Once bustling with factory workers, its halls are now filled with artworks, sketches, poems and performance pieces from the cultural set featuring local, national and international pieces.
